SPEAKER/PROGRAM INFORMATION
Dr.
Lisa Kreber has worked in the field of brain injury since
1999. Upon completion of her degrees,
Dr. Kreber began her current position as senior neuroscientist and research
coordinator for the Centre for Neuro Skills.
Dr. Kreber is involved in developing clinical and research protocols,
mentoring clinician-researchers at CNS, and working with patients and
therapists to optimize patient outcomes after brain injury. In 2009, Dr. Kreber
became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). This program explores the epidemiology and
neuro-physiology of the central nervous system (CNS) following traumatic brain
injury. Pharmacological and therapeutic
interventions will be presented. Neurophysiologic optimization and bioenergetic
mechanisms will be discussed. Long-term
issues regarding length of recovery, depression and the probability of
re-injury are examined.

This activity has been submitted to the Virginia Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Virginia Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
CE/Clock Hour Information
1.0 contact hours will be provided for CCMs and Social Worker
LocationThe Meeting will be held at the Richardson Civic Center, 411 West Arapaho Road, Richardson,Texas.
Attendee Costs
The fee (cash or checks only) for attending the Dinner Meeting is as follows (pay at the door):
CMSA Members $17.00 Non-Members $26.00
Attendees must make reservations to attend. Reservations received after deadline will be charged a $3.00 late fee. All reservations must be received by February 15th. Members delinquent in paying for dinner meetings will not be allowed to attend meetings until payment has been made. Fee is payable whether you have dinner or not.
